Library Mission
A group of concerned individuals and businessmen
joined together in 1973 to actively promote quality
library services in the county giving both of their
time and financial support. In addition to sponsoring
library programs, purchasing library books and materials,
the Friends have helped with renovations for the library when
it was in the old courthouse. They have provided landscaping,
renovations, to include carpeting, recessed lighting, front entranceway,
outside benches, a bicycle rack, meeting rooms, and many improvements to
the "New" library. Our latest addition was ten folding tables, a caddy,
and a podium for the meeting room.
The Friends operate a "Used Book Sale Fundraiser."
The Friends also maintain an ongoing "Friends" rack in
the library and sponsor a "Summer Reading Program" among other events.
If you would like to help your community library grow,
join us by filling out the attached membership card. Mail
to Friends of the WCPL, P.O. Box 1737, Crawfordville, FL 32326
or drop by the library.
Membership checks should be made out to Friends of WCPL and all contributions are tax deductible. The Friends of the Wakulla County Public Library organization is considered non-profit 501 (3).
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our President Jerline (Jeri) Cooper at 850-926-4930.
